CLASS INFORMATION - Yoga Heart Studio classes are conducted throughout the week and almost all are 90 minutes in length. Students are encouraged to arrive 15 minutes early, mats and props are provided for your convenience. Please bring your own water and towel. We have a variety of classes that appeal to both new and experienced students.

Gentle Intro
For students new to the Iyengar System who wish to work slowly in poses. This class has become very popular with students who are "stiff" and/or have specific physical limitations.

Level 1
This class is also excellent for students new to the Iyengar System. The class focuses on "Exploration of the Body" in Level 1 poses (or "asanas", in Sanskrit). With the use of props, students will practice standing-, seated-, and abdominal poses, while also exploring backbends and inversions.

Level 2
This class is a progression from the Level 1 program. Sequences are more rigorous as students cultivate and improve their various poses. Students who transfer from other yoga disciplines are welcome to contact the instructor for preferred enrollment.

Pranayama
Open to yoga students from all disciplines with at least one year of experience in asana, this class focuses on the art of yogic breath – the fourth limb of yoga. Students are encouraged to arrive 15 minutes prior to scheduled start times to open chests in supported asanas.

Restorative Iyengar
As students become more experienced over time, they often transcend their skills to accomplish more complex poses, which include longer standing, and seated, forward bends. In addition, these poses frequently incorporate heavily propped "chest openers" and concentrate on various breathing techniques. Interested students are asked to contact the instructors for preferred enrollment.
